A Tournai Porcelain Plate c.1770


A rare Tournai Porcelain Plate c.1770, soft paste body, finely decorated with painted landscape scene outlined in black and highlighted in raised gilding, the border with eight shield-shaped panels painted with raised gilt flower sprays on apple green ground. Dimensions: 25 cm diam. Marks: crossed swords in gilt with four crosses all around, incised "X".  Excellent Condition.
