A Whieldon Creamware Plate c.1760


A fine English Whieldon-type Creamware Plate, Circa 1760-80, the moulded border with shaped panels of trellis designs and basketweave, decorated with coloured glazes of green, yellow and brown, the back with tortoise-shell design. Dimensions: 24 cm diam. Condition: a faint glaze-crack in the centre. Unmarked. (paper label "Wedgwood Whieldon 1760").
