Three Paris Porcelain (La Courtille) Armorial Dinner Plates
A Collection of Three early 19th Century Paris Porcelain (La Courtille*) Armorial Dinner Plates, finely painted with a coat of arms and crest, gilded rim. Dimensions: 25 cm diam. Marks: Blue underglaze crossed "arrows" to base. Condition: Minor ware.
*De la Courtille, Rue Fontaine-au-Roi, founded by J. B. Locre in 1773, and at one time called " Manu- facture de Porcelain Allemande." (The ware was of high quality and in the Meissen style, and the mark was at first two crossed torches, afterwards two ears of corn.)
